Terms of Service
The terms and conditions that govern your use of FlightDesk.
Last updated: February 24, 2026
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and FlightDesk ("FlightDesk," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the FlightDesk platform, including our website at flightdesk.dev, web application, command-line interface (CLI), APIs, preview environments, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and the organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
The Service is designed for use by software development professionals and teams. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
3. Account Registration and Security
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using a GitHub account or email address. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account information up to date.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including passwords, API tokens, and SSH keys associated with your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@flightdesk.dev if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you authorized them. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to secure your account.
4. Description of the Service
FlightDesk is a development operations platform that provides visibility and management tools for AI-assisted software development workflows. The Service includes, but is not limited to:
- Team-wide task visibility for Claude Code and AI-assisted development work
- GitHub App integration for repository management, pull request tracking, and workflow context
- Hosted preview environments that deploy your application code in isolated containers for each pull request
- QA handoff features including test plans, assignments, approvals, and change requests
- A command-line interface (CLI) for interacting with FlightDesk from your terminal
- GraphQL API access for programmatic integration with your workflows
- Team collaboration features including workflow assignments and persistent task context
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes in advance.
5. Subscription, Billing, and Pricing
5.1 Subscription Plans
FlightDesk offers a paid subscription plan at $20.00 USD per seat per month. Each subscription seat includes access to all platform features and $5.00 USD in monthly compute credits for hosted preview environments. Current pricing details are always available on our Pricing page.
5.2 Free Trial
New accounts are eligible for a 14-day free trial. The free trial provides full access to all Service features. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.
5.3 Metered Billing for Preview Environments
Hosted preview environments are billed on a usage basis in addition to your subscription fee:
- Running environments: $0.02 USD per hour — active preview environments that are serving traffic and executing your application code.
- Suspended environments: $0.001 USD per hour — paused preview environments that preserve state but are not actively running.
Your $5.00 monthly compute credit is applied toward these charges first. For example, your included credits cover approximately 250 hours of running environments or approximately 5,000 hours of suspended environments per billing cycle. Usage beyond your included credits will be billed to your payment method on file.
5.4 Compute Credits
The $5.00 in monthly compute credits included with each subscription seat resets at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over to subsequent billing periods. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
5.5 Billing Cycle and Payment
Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance on the anniversary of your subscription start date. Metered usage charges for preview environments are calculated and billed at the end of each billing cycle for usage that exceeded your included credits.
All payments are processed through Stripe. We accept all major credit cards. For annual billing or invoice-based payments, please contact us at hello@flightdesk.dev.
5.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If we change pricing for your existing subscription, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email before the new pricing takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
5.7 Taxes
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. You are responsible for paying all such taxes, excluding taxes based solely on FlightDesk's income.
6. Refund Policy
30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with FlightDesk for any reason, you may request a full refund of your subscription fees within 30 days of your initial purchase or most recent renewal. No questions asked.
6.1 Subscription Refunds
You are entitled to a full refund of your monthly subscription fee if you request it within 30 days of being charged. To request a refund, contact us at support@flightdesk.dev with the email address associated with your account. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days and will be returned to your original payment method.
6.2 Metered Usage — No Refunds
Charges for metered billing on hosted preview environments are non-refundable. Because compute resources are consumed in real time and cannot be reclaimed, usage charges for running and suspended preview environments that exceed your included monthly credits are final. This applies to all metered usage, regardless of whether a subscription refund is issued.
6.3 Free Trial Cancellation
If you cancel during the free trial period, you will not be charged any subscription fee. However, if you used preview environments during the trial and incurred metered usage charges beyond the included credits, those charges are non-refundable.
6.4 How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@flightdesk.dev. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods. Active preview environments will be suspended and eventually terminated after your subscription lapses.
7. Your Content and Data
7.1 Ownership
You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to your source code, application data, and any other content you provide to or through the Service ("Your Content"). FlightDesk does not claim any ownership of Your Content.
7.2 License to Operate
By using the Service, you grant FlightDesk a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to access, store, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide and maintain the Service. This includes deploying your code in preview environments, displaying task metadata in the dashboard, and transmitting data through our APIs. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or close your account.
7.3 What We Store
FlightDesk stores task metadata (titles, descriptions, statuses), timeline events, check results, and context notes you save. We do not store your source code, environment variables, git history, or Claude Code session contents. For complete details, see our Security page and Privacy Policy.
7.4 Data Portability
You may export your data from FlightDesk at any time using our API. Upon account termination, we will make your data available for export for a period of 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
8. Preview Environments
8.1 Isolation and Security
Preview environments run as isolated Docker containers on dedicated worker servers. Each container runs your code exclusively and is torn down when the associated pull request is closed. We do not cache or inspect your source code on our infrastructure.
8.2 Auto-Suspension
To protect your balance, preview environments are automatically suspended after 4 hours of inactivity. Suspended environments preserve state and can be resumed on demand. Suspended environments are billed at the reduced suspended rate ($0.001/hour) rather than the running rate.
8.3 Resource Limits
Preview environments are subject to resource limits including CPU, memory, and storage allocations. We reserve the right to impose or modify resource limits to ensure fair usage across all users. Environments that consistently exceed resource limits may be suspended or terminated.
8.4 Availability
Preview environments are provided on a commercially reasonable basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime for preview environments and they should not be used as production hosting. Preview environments are intended for development, testing, and review purposes only.
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Deploy or host production workloads in preview environments — preview environments are for development, testing, and review only
- Use preview environments for cryptocurrency mining, distributed computing projects, or any purpose other than previewing your application
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, data, or preview environments
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to store or transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code (beyond legitimate security testing within your own preview environments)
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam) or conduct phishing attacks
- Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls implemented by the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are violating this Acceptable Use Policy. Where feasible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure the violation before taking action.
10. Third-Party Integrations
10.1 GitHub Integration
FlightDesk integrates with GitHub through a GitHub App. By installing and authorizing the FlightDesk GitHub App, you grant FlightDesk access to the repositories and permissions you select during installation. We use short-lived GitHub App installation tokens (not personal access tokens) that automatically refresh and are scoped to only the permissions required to operate the Service.
Your use of GitHub is governed by GitHub's own terms of service. FlightDesk is not responsible for the availability, security, or operation of GitHub's services.
10.2 Payment Processing
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By providing your payment information, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. FlightDesk does not store your full credit card number or payment credentials — these are handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure.
10.3 Other Integrations
The Service may integrate with other third-party tools and services (such as SonarQube for code quality analysis). Integration credentials you provide are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Your use of third-party services is governed by those services' respective terms.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and underlying technology, is and will remain the exclusive property of FlightDesk and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
"FlightDesk," the FlightDesk logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of FlightDesk. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service in accordance with these Terms for the duration of your subscription.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the Service is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers and Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
FlightDesk does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
FlightDesk does not warrant or make any representations regarding the correctness, accuracy, or reliability of any results obtained through the Service, including the behavior of code deployed in preview environments.
You acknowledge that preview environments are ephemeral development resources. Data stored within preview environments may be lost when environments are suspended, restarted, or terminated. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups and source control.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FLIGHTDESK, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF FLIGHTDESK HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL FLIGHTDESK'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO FLIGHTDESK DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, FlightDesk's liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlightDesk, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
- Any content you deploy to or through the Service, including code running in preview environments
- Any harm caused to third parties by applications you preview, test, or develop using the Service
16. Termination
16.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account and these Terms at any time by canceling your subscription through your account settings or by contacting us at support@flightdesk.dev. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
16.2 Termination by FlightDesk
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, non-payment of fees, fraudulent activity, or if required by law.
16.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All active preview environments will be terminated. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination to allow for data export, after which it may be permanently deleted. Any outstanding metered usage charges incurred prior to termination remain due and payable. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7.1, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 18) will survive.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with arbitration to take place in Delaware. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, consolidated action, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against FlightDesk.
18. General Provisions
18.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and FlightDesk concerning the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether oral or written.
18.2 Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
18.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18.4 Waiver
The failure of FlightDesk to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver of any provision on one occasion shall not be deemed a waiver of such provision on any subsequent occasion.
18.5 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them, in whole or in part, without FlightDesk's prior written consent. FlightDesk may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
18.6 Force Majeure
FlightDesk shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, labor disputes, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or denial-of-service attacks.
18.7 Notices
Notices to FlightDesk should be sent to hello@flightdesk.dev. Notices to you will be sent to the email address associated with your account. Notices are deemed received when sent by email.
